Appule berates Vegeta that he should have given the dragon balls to Frieza when suddenly, Vegeta opens his eyes. Due to complete healing, Vegeta destroys the healing pod killing Appule (just a cannon fodder) in the process. Due to not being able to sense ki, Frieza and Zarbon, are misguided by Vegeta into thinking that he has escaped the ship. Furthermore, Vegeta constantly blasts part of the ship to distract them.
On reaching the room having 5 dragon balls, Vegeta throws them from Frieza’s base (spaceship fortress) to a certain distance (Olympic gold medal record broken easily). Frieza threatens Zarbon to bring back Vegeta within an hour or face death. Vegeta escapes the ship and swims through the river. He collects the 5 dragon balls and places them in a safe area.

Gohan reaches the Namek village to see it in collapse and feels sorry for their fate. He quickly buries the villager’s bodies, giving them a proper grave. Searching the dragon radar Gohan finds the 4-star dragon ball in the river and, then goes back to Bulma’s location. Vegeta detects Krillin (too careless to guard against danger out of overconfidence) and follows him.

Meanwhile, the Ginyu Force ships leave for planet Namek from planet Frieza. Zarbon, who searches aimlessly like a lost soul, sees Vegeta and goes after him. Krillin meets Bulma and asks about Gohan. Just when Bulma mentions Gohan bringing another dragon ball, Krillin detects a powerful ki approaching them.
Vegeta lands in front of them and demands the 1-star dragon ball. Zarbon in pursuit also arrives on the spot. Bulma gets charmed by Zarbon’s sweet face and thinks of him as their savior (wow!). Zarbon demands the location of dragon balls but Vegeta taunts him for battle. Vegeta also warns Krillin to not try to flee. Zarbon transforms once again and fights Vegeta, who could match Zarbon’s power.

Bulma gets freaked out at the transformed ‘sweet face’ of Zarbon, instantly blacklisting the savior status. Zarbon still thinks that he can still defeat Vegeta, but Vegeta reveals about Saiyan’s increase in power after every near-death battle. Vegeta overpowers Zarbon turning him into a punching bag. He then inflicts a serious injury to weaken Zarbon (the power level gap between them is not too high).

Krillin tries to flee with Bulma, but Vegeta blocks them with a ki blast. Zarbon begs for his life proposing to team up with Vegeta against Frieza. Vegeta answers him with a blast of powerful ki wave straight through his stomach (punch-smarts into oblivion). After killing Zarbon Vegeta takes the dragon ball from Krillin without killing them. This is due to having all the dragon balls under Vegeta’s possession.
Vegeta meets Gohan on the way and asks about the device in his hand. Gohan lies that it is a clock. Vegeta suddenly kicks Gohan (still got the beating) and tells him to go back to Earth, and inform Goku that he will return. Gohan brings back the dragon ball he had hidden from Vegeta. After leaving the area, Gohan and Krillin go to Guru’s place, while Bulma stays in a secluded spot with the dragon ball.

Vegeta goes back to the Namek village but no longer can find the dragon ball within the river. He understood that Gohan must have taken it and the clock device must be a radar. As if someone has crushed his tail, Vegeta rushes like a madman to Krillin’s area but finds the place abandoned. In Frieza’s ship, after waiting for 4 days Frieza guesses about Zarbon’s death.

He shoots bursts of energy waves throughout the planet creating tremors everywhere out of anger (weirdo). Frieza also becomes sure of his premonition. Bulma who was safeguarding the dragon ball lost the dragon ball in the river due to the tremors. Goku’s spaceship comes in contact with magnetic space storms which affects the gravity control mechanism.
It constantly fluctuates to 100 times the gravity of Earth, which makes Goku land in great trouble. After a hefty struggle, Goku was able to switch off the gravity machine, avoiding his death. Goku struggled hard due to his exhaustion but was able to consume a senzu bean. Goku’s strength increased to a level that, he can now train in hundred times gravity.

Just one day remaining before his ship to land on Namek, Goku till now has already consumed six out of seven senzu beans due to intense training. Bulma in order to retrieve the dragon ball dived down the sea in her submarine. She had her very own adventure under the sea, where she came across a giant crab.

She had to fight it using her water ship, as the dragon ball was piled up with the crab’s eggs. After a narrow escape, Bulma obtained the dragon ball. Just as she came to the surface, Bulma is spotted by Frieza’s minions and therefore captured. The two minions Blueberry and Rasberry learn from Bulma (plotting to clobber them) the secret behind collecting all 7 dragon balls.
Blueberry gets tempted and takes Bulma to search for other dragon balls. Bulma lies to them that the dragon balls are to be found in the sea. They are misled by Bulma into another giant crab layer, where the minions think that the eggs (more than seven ‘dragon balls’) of the crab are the dragon balls. Sensing a threat to its eggs, the crab grabs both the minions.
Bulma’s Narrow Escape (Japanese Soundtrack)
They shoot lasers but the crab having a hard carapace quickly kills them. Bulma finally escapes (counted as two strong hit kills by Bulma in Dragon Ball Z) the sea. Due to Krillin and Gohan being far away, in a hurry, they increase their speed. Vegeta detects them and takes one dragon ball with him so that Gohan’s group can’t complete the set.
