King Kai’s new disciples (True Power of Namek in Dragon Ball Z)
Vegeta confronts Zarbon revealing Dodoria’s demise in his hand. Zarbon doesn’t believe him but gets suspicious based on Vegeta’s confidence. Vegeta also mentions that he will gain immortality through dragon balls and then attack Frieza. Zarbon warns Vegeta of his ignorance of not knowing the might of Frieza.
Vegeta starts attacking Zarbon recklessly, as he lands a few lucky punches on Zarbon. Zarbon mocks Vegeta for his humorous attempt at making him bleed. Krillin senses the battle and hopes for Vegeta and the other one to die together. Zarbon smiles sinisterly mentioning about his hidden power. Vegeta laughs (want to get beaten) at this ‘joke’ of Zarbon.
Zarbon beats Vegeta (Japanese Soundtrack)
Zarbon suddenly transforms into a little broader version of his normal body, with an alligator-like face (not so beautiful anymore). He doesn’t like to transform normally due to becoming ugly. Zarbon blocks Vegeta’s hat trick sequence of killing Frieza’s strongmen on Namek. Zarbon starts with kick-smarting Vegeta. He pummels Vegeta like kicking a football, also revealing that even Frieza can transform.

Assuming Vegeta is dead, Zarbon (death flag activated) goes back to Frieza to deliver the good news. Vegeta swim-struggle through the river and drops at the shore, promising himself to get stronger. At the same time, Dende and Krillin reach Guru’s place and were met and taken in by Nail, Nail is another Namek warrior and bodyguard of Guru.
On getting informed by Nail about all the events on Namek known by Guru, Dende asks why not evacuate the place. But Nail explains that Guru knows his lifespan coming to an end. Krillin senses great power from Nail. They meet the grand elder Guru, who thanks Krillin for protecting Dende. Guru is extremely sad because most of his children are killed.
Krillin as per Guru’s question tells him that he needs the dragon ball to resurrect his friends. He also mentions about dragon balls on Earth. Guru searches for Krillin’s memory. He finds out that during planet Namek’s disaster, Kami who was Katas’ (Kattatsu, Katkas) child on Namek, was able to escape and went to Earth.

He also sees the event of Kami and King Piccolo separating (flashback from Dragon Ball series). Guru regrets about the potential strength, Kami would have possessed if he was complete. Looking through his pure heart, Guru unlocks Krillin’s dormant power within him. He also gives the one-star dragon ball for safekeeping to Krillin.
Krillin also asks whether he can bring back Gohan to also let his dormant power be activated. Guru accepts Krillin’s request and also clears his doubt of not getting his lifespan shortened by it. Goku in his spaceship trains under 50 times the gravity of Earth and can keep up with the training. A minion of Frieza found Tsuno’s Namek village but saw it in a collapsed state.
Zarbon heals Vegeta (Japanese Soundtrack)
One surviving namekian tries to get the dragon ball thrown by Vegeta in the river, but gets killed by the minion (damn fool) after knowing from him that Vegeta is the culprit. The minion goes back and informs about the Namek village and gets one-shotted by Frieza, for killing the witness related to the dragon ball.

On Frieza’s orders, Zarbon brings back Vegeta to the base for treatment, and Appule contacts Ginyu Force to come from planet Frieza to Namek. Zarbon asks Frieza why to call the Ginyu force. Frieza feels a premonition to be opposed by powerful Saiyans. Meanwhile, Bulma detects a dragon ball approaching her place.
Gohan tells it must be Krillin. Bulma detects that other than five dragon balls with Frieza, the dragon radar shows another one nearby. Gohan understands that based on the location, it must be from the destroyed Namek village. He goes to the place, now that he doesn’t detect any ki from that place. In King Kai’s planet, Yamcha very easily made King Kai laugh.
Piccolo defeated (Japanese Soundtrack)
Chiaotzu also did the same in less time. Tien was having trouble so Yamcha helped him with the joke. After passing their first test, King Kai let the trio catch Bubbles. When others approach Piccolo asking about his disinterest in the training session, Piccolo catches Bubbles easily without any effort. Therefore, he has no interest in King Kai’s basic training.

Piccolo then sat at a distance mind training. Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chaiotzu do their utmost and catch Bubbles at a much less time than Goku. After that, they train with Gregory and in an hour were able to strike it. Piccolo sees the training as nothing but a waste of time.
Next, King Kai asks the trio to spar with each other as per his guidance, but Piccolo comes and wants all three to fight him together (overconfident). The trio gives Piccolo a run for the money as Piccolo is amazed to see their progress. After defeating him together, Yamcha asks Piccolo to remove his heavy clothing to once more spar with them. King Kai stops them and finally decides to give them his advanced training.

Namek History
As per the details mentioned by both King Kai and Dende, Namek planet has an ancient history. Planet Namek faced a catastrophe many years ago. Most Namekians died except for 3 survivors. They are Lord Slug, Nameless namekian (King Picollo and Kami), and Grand Priest Guru (Saichoro). Guru stayed on Namek unlike the other two, who were sent away to other planets.
Guru, as a grand elder created 108 Namek people on planet Namek after its previous disaster. He also created the seven Namek dragon balls (probably made from the dust of super dragon balls of Universe 6 and Universe 7). Namekians don’t eat anything but survive on water. Every Namek village has fields where they produce plants known as Ajissas.
Ajissas helps in the recovery of planet Namek’s environment. Due to Namek having three suns surrounding it, there is no nighttime on Namek. Namek people have no gender and Kuro had used his life energy to create eggs, that he ejected from his mouth. Namekians are divided into two categories namely, Warrior class and Dragon clan.
Examples of warrior class are people like Piccolo who is specialized in combat techniques and strength. The dragon clan has people like Dende who can create dragon balls, have healing abilities, and other mystic powers.
