Events before planet Namek (Dragon Ball Z Fake Namek Saga 1)
Bulma, Chi-Chi and others arrive in a capsule corp. airplane. Chi-Chi runs towards an unconscious Gohan carrying him in embrace, and not caring about Goku. Krillin informs them about the death of others. Bulma is not concerned about things due to the dragon balls aid. However, Goku explains to her the consequence of both Picollo and Kami’s death.
Bulma gets upset due to not being able to see Yamcha again. When going back home, everyone is concerned about how to revive the dead Z fighters. Chi-Chi is angry towards Goku for risking Gohan’s life (after Goku just getting revived, really?). Yajirobe gets annoyed at Ch-Chi’s ignorance towards Goku’s critical condition. Master Roshi collects the body of Yamcha, Tien Shinhan and Picollo.

Krillin informs others about the mention of another set of more powerful dragon balls on planet Namek by Vegeta. Bulma is not too optimistic about the concept of going to another planet due to knowing nothing about it. Goku assures her to get information about planet Namek from King Kai. King Kai’s voice explains to them regarding planet Namek’s history and distance from Earth.

Krillin suggests Bulma use her father’s spaceship, but Bulma gives them all the shock of their life. She explains that based on her calculation, her father’s fastest spaceship would take more than 4000 years to reach planet Namek. Krillin comes up with the idea of using the Saiyan spaceship.
It turns out that only Nappa’s ship is left. Bulma snatches the spaceship remote of Nappa from Krillin. Goku is taken to Wukong hospital and completely bandaged like a mummy except for the face (still don’t understand how Goku’s spiky hair could be bandaged). Goku’s greatest fear turns out to be getting an injection (not uncommon to many).

Krillin and Gohan also get major first aid and have to stay in the hospital for a few days. It would take 4 months for Goku to recover completely, although Korin assures Goku to bring senzu beans in a month. Yajirobe is upset about not getting the chance to stay at the hospital for treatment (no freeloads).

Bulma arrives at the hospital to show her progress in analyzing Nappa’s spaceship remote. She switches on the tv revealing to others that government officials have taken custody of the attack ball. Bulma tries to summon the spaceship for study, but it explodes (self-destruct button happened!).
Suddenly Mr Popo arrives on his flying carpet and asks someone to go with him, for inspecting an object like a spaceship related to Kami. Bulma who is a little hesitant (Mr. Popo’s so-called perverted glance) eventually goes with Mr Popo. Both are teleported to the North Pole and Bulma, finds out that the object is truly Kami’s spaceship.

The password to open the spaceship’s entrance is Piccolo. Bulma learns that Namek language is needed to operate the spaceship from Mr Popo. On giving the command in Namek language by Mr. Popo, the spaceship instantly reached the orbit of planet Jupiter. Later, it was sent to Capsule Corporation where Bulma’s father, Dr Brief (with a black monkey cat sticking on his shoulder) studies and reverse-engineered it.
Gohan secretly trains solo and is sensible to continue with his martial arts training. Bulma later explains to everyone that the spaceship can take people to Namek in a month. After a brief discussion it was decided that Bulma and Krillin will go to planet Namek. Gohan asks Bulma to also allow him to go with them.
Chi-Chi protested that Gohan is small and need to finish his school homework. But Gohan made her understand (yelled to shut up) his resolve to resurrect Piccolo and others. Chi-Chi gets emotionally dejected at Gohan’s punkish behaviour, but her father Ox-King explains Chi-Chi to let Gohan go. Kami’s spaceship is renewed for their travel.
Mr Popo teaches the Namekian language to Bulma, who feeds that to a translator. After 10 days, the trio blasts off to space for a new adventure (more like going to look for trouble). Vegeta goes to a planet which is known as Frieza 79, introducing Frieza’s name in dragon ball z for the first time.
