Events before planet Namek (Dragon Ball Z Fake Namek Saga 2)

The 79^th planet under Frieza’s rule is where Vegeta reaches after 18 days from escaping Earth. Frieza’s squadmen take him to heal his injuries in a glass healing tank. After getting healed completely, Vegeta decides to attack Earth after obtaining the dragon balls from planet Namek. A squad man gives him a scouter but Vegeta denies it due to not needing it anymore (ki control).

Another warrior similar to Vegeta named Cui(Kewie, Kiwi) informs him about Frieza’s journey to Namek. Vegeta is horrified to know from Kewie that Frieza knows about dragon balls on Namek from the Scouters. Cui also speculates that after wishing for immortality, Frieza will kill all the Namek people. Vegeta then quickly leaves for planet Namek.

Meanwhile, both Krillin and Gohan indulged in mental battle (image training) training, where Gohan got a winning edge over Krillin. The spaceship in space comes across quite a few small spaceships that attacked them. Bulma using the spaceship defences attacked and destroyed most of them. The spaceship gets sucked and trapped on a large mirror spaceship (camouflage tech), which looks like a weather balloon.

The trio tries to probe it after exiting their spaceship. They face many booby traps but are somehow able to escape them. However, Bulma is trapped and Gohan and Krillin are surrounded by a group of armed children led by their teen leader, Zeshin. They look like humans but with pink skin and green eyes and want to kill them.

However, their ship comes across an asteroid field and suffers some damage. Krillin, Bulma and Gohan save them and eventually after some explanation they trust the trio (more due to innocence in Gohan’s eyes as noted by a crew member). Zeshin explains that their group are the remaining people of their planet.

They had escaped Frieza’s men led by Cui, who killed all their parents and other grown-up people. Frieza’s squads have already taken over their planet and so they have no choice but flee to another place. Later, Zeshin give coordinates to Bulma to use a shortcut to planet Namek. However, before explaining about the route (alas not good), Bulma leaves with the other two.

Gohan and others arrive on a planet which they think is Namek, but fail to notice the spaceship’s warning. They crash land on a large trench but are rescued by two Namekians, Lychee and Zarkuro, who greet them by touching their nose as per ‘Namek’ customs. Zarkuro goes with the three while Lychee stays behind to repair the spaceship.

Throughout the planet’s journey due to searching for dragon balls, Zarkuro acts all goody-goody and give them full support (suspicious). They go to an underground chamber where another alien’s picture is found on walls. They come across monster beasts, giant tornados, acid river, giant castle with a giant, and more trouble but eventually get the dragon balls.

Krillin becomes doubtful of their surroundings (finally). On Earth, Goku sneaks away from the hospital and trains both physically and mentally. He gets injured cracking open his wounds once again. When the last dragon ball was meant to be retrieved, Gohan and Krillin are trapped by flesh-eating alien squid-like beings.

Lychee (Raiti) and Zarkuro (Zaacro), who turns out to be the aliens drawn (self marketing) on the wall, reveals that the planet is nothing but a wasteland (fake Namek). Both were trapped on the planet because their ship was destroyed. They had read the mind of Bulma and created illusions to fool them.

They also explain that the planet’s cosmic tidal current makes it impossible to go beyond the atmosphere. Once there is a fog, that is the time when someone can escape the planet. After some struggle, Krillin and Gohan defeat the aquatic monsters and rescue Bulma. They also prevent the two aliens from taking their spaceship.

Finally, they leave the wasteland planet and after 37 days from leaving Earth, they arrive on planet Namek.
